    $2,000 to honor the Fund’s 10th Anniversary with a grant award by supporting toward the Fund’s professional fees for 2009 annual audit and tax filings.

    $5,000 to The Equity Scholars’ Fund for Summer Scholars, PTSO Reach Out Grants Gifted Students Academic Competition Fund, Montclair High School College Ready Initiative

    Montclair Community Pre-K for the Family Network Center

    $4,000 to offer educational support and resources to the caregivers of young children, including FNC’s weekly e-newsletter, “Whine and Dine” lecture/dinner programs, the Pajama Club and counseling services provided by the Family Service League.

    National Council of Jewish Women – Essex

    $2,500 for the Back to School Store, which provides 250 children from pre-qualified families, with new outfits of clothing and backpacks with recommended school supplies, personal care items and a book. A professional personal shopper assists the children. NCJW will hold the 2009 Back to School Store on August 2.

    WISE Women’s Center - Essex County College

    $5,000 to support the WISE Women’s Safe Haven, a "safe haven" on campus for women who self-identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or women who are in re-entry from incarceration to learn new life coping skills while they improve their education and job skills. Partner organizations for this project are the Female Offender Re-Entry Group Effort (FORGE) funded by the Nicholson Foundation and the Urban Women’s Program funded by the NJ Division on Women.
